사진제공 : KBO[스포츠디비=이수민 기자] KBO(총재 정운찬)는 희명병원(이사장 최백희)과 2020 신한은행 SOL KBO 리그 「Save & Sacrifice 캠페인」을 실시하기로 하고 오늘(11일) 협약식을 진행했다.

KBO와 희명병원이 올 시즌부터 시작하는 「Save & Sacrifice 캠페인」은 취약계층을 대상으로 심장이나 척추, 인공관절 수술비를 지원하는 사회공헌 프로그램으로, 2020 시즌의 세이브 1개 당 15만원, 희생번트 1개 당 5만원을 적립하여 매월 수술이 필요한 취약계층의 야구 팬들을 지원할 예정이며, 4월부터 KBO 홈페이지를 통해 사연을 접수한 뒤 시술 대상자를 선정할 계획이다.

희명병원 최백희 이사장은 “국내 최고의 프로스포츠인 KBO 리그와 함께 어려운 이웃을 도와 따뜻한 병원이 되기 위해 노력하며 야구 사랑도 전파하겠다” 라고 전했다.

서울 금천구 소재 종합병원인 희명병원은 국민안심병원으로 지정, 일반 환자와 호흡기 질환 환자의 진료구역을 구별해 병원 방문부터 입원까지 모든 진료 과장이 다른 환자와 분리되어 코로나19로부터 안전하게 치료 받을 수 있다.

한편, 오늘 협약식에는 KBO 류대환 사무총장과 이진형 경영본부장, 희명병원 최백희 이사장 등이 참석했다.

Starting this season, the "Save & Sacrifice Campaign" will be a social contribution program that will support vulnerable baseball fans who need surgery every month by setting aside 150,000 won for each save in the 2020 season and 50,000 won for each sacrifice bunt for the upcoming season, and will receive their stories through the KBO's website before selecting the candidates for the procedure.

Choi Baek-hee, chairman of Heemyung Hospital, said, "I will work with the KBO League, the nation's top professional sport, to help needy neighbors and spread the love of baseball."

Heemyeong Hospital, a general hospital located in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, has been designated as the National Safety and Health Hospital, distinguishing the treatment area between ordinary patients and respiratory disease patients so that all medical departments from hospital visits to hospital hospitals can be separated from other patients and treated safely from Corona-19.

Meanwhile, today's signing ceremony was attended by Ryu Dae-hwan, secretary general of the KBO, Lee Jin-hyung, head of the management division, and Choi Baek-hee, chairman of Heemyung Hospital.
