[스포츠디비=고동호 기자] KBO(총재 정지택)는 도쿄올림픽에서 팬들의 기대에 보답하지 못한 야구 국가대표팀의 경쟁력 약화에 대한 엄중한 책임감 속에 대회 직후부터 각 분야별 문제점을 진단해 왔다. 이에 따라 내부적으로 중장기적인 개선안을 검토하고 외부 전문가의 의견을 포함하여 국가대표팀 경쟁력 강화를 위한 운영 시스템 개선을 위한 추진 계획을 발표하였다.

우선 기술위원회 구성을 개편하여 감독 선임 방식, 코칭스태프 구성, 선수 선발과 지원에 대한 기존 대표팀의 운영 전반에 대해 점검하고 대응책 마련을 위한 준비에 착수하기로 했다.

기술위원회에는 현장 경험과 이론을 겸비한 경기인 출신의 투수, 타자 분야 전문가와 함께 데이터 분석 전문 인력을 새롭게 포함시키기로 했다. 이를 통해 대표팀 선수 선발 과정에서 주관적 평가에서 벗어나 선수들의 장단점과 특성을 고려한 체계적이고 과학적인 데이터를 바탕으로 보다 객관적 관점에서 선수를 선발할 수 있도록 선수 선발 기준을 새롭게 정립하기로 했다.

또한 주요 국제 대회 성격에 따라 이에 적합한 맞춤형 대표팀 선수를 선발하는 방식으로 추진할 계획이다. 아마추어 주관 국제 대회의 경우 대회 별로 프로 참가 연령을 제한하여 유망주 선수 위주의 대표팀 선수 선발을 통해 선수단 동기부여와 함께 대표팀 세대교체도 같이 준비해 나가기로 했다. 이에 따라 각 대회 별 특성에 맞춘 선발 방식으로 다양한 연령대와 새로운 조합의 대표팀 선수 구성이 시너지 효과를 낼 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

2022년 항저우 아시안게임 대표팀은 대한야구소프트볼협회(KBSA)와 협의해 프로선수의 경우 유망주 선수들을 주축으로 구성하고 아마추어 선수 참여도 적극 검토할 계획이다. 아시안게임 예비 명단은 올 시즌 종료 후 발표할 예정이며, 예비 명단에 선발된 선수간 경쟁을 유도하여 기량과 적합도 등을 고려하여 가장 우수한 선수가 최종 명단에 선발될 수 있도록 추진할 계획이다.

KBO（総裁ジョンジテク）は、東京オリンピックでファンの期待に応えていない野球代表の競争力弱化の厳重な責任の中に大会直後から各分野別問題を診断してきた。これにより、内部的に中長期的な改善案を検討し、外部の専門家の意見を含む代表競争力の強化のためのオペレーティングシステムの改善のための推進計画を発表した。

まず技術委員会の構成を改編して監督選任方式、コーチングスタッフの構成、選手選抜とサポートの既存チームの運営全般について点検し、対応策のための準備に着手することにした。

技術委員会は、現場での経験と理論を兼ね備えたゲームである出身の投手、打者の分野の専門家と一緒にデータ分析の専門人材を新たに含むことにした。これにより、代表チームの選手選抜の過程で主観的評価から抜け出し選手たちの長所と短所の特性を考慮した体系的、科学的なデータをもとに、より客観的な観点から選手を選抜することができるよう選手選抜基準を新たに確立することにした。

また、主要な国際大会の性格に応じて、これに適したカスタマイズ代表選手を選抜する方法で推進する計画だ。アマチュア主管大会の場合、大会ごとにプロの参加年齢を制限して有望株選手中心の代表チームの選手選抜を介して選手団動機と代表世代交代も一緒に準備していくことにした。これにより、各大会ごとの特性に合わせた選抜方法で、様々な年齢や新しい組み合わせの代表チームの選手構成が相乗効果を出すことができるものと期待される。

2022年杭州アジア大会代表チームは、大韓野球ソフトボール協会（KBSA）と協議して、プロ選手の場合有望株選手を主軸に構成して、アマチュア選手の参加も積極的に検討する計画である。アジア大会の予備名簿は今シーズン終了後に発表する予定であり、予備リストに選抜された選手間の競争を誘導して技量や適合度などを考慮して、最も優れた選手が最終リストに選抜されるように推進する計画である。

The technical committee decided to newly include data analysis experts along with pitchers and batter experts from Gyeonggi-do with field experience and theory. Through this, we decided to establish a new standard for player selection so that players can be selected from a more objective point of view based on systematic and scientific data that takes into account the strengths and weaknesses of players, away from subjective evaluation in the selection process for national team players.

In addition, according to the nature of major international competitions, we plan to select players for the national team that are suitable for them. In the case of international competitions hosted by amateurs, it was decided to motivate the team and prepare for a generational change of the national team through the selection of national team players focused on promising players by limiting the age of professional participation in each tournament. Accordingly, it is expected that the composition of the national team players of various age groups and new combinations can create synergistic effects through the selection method tailored to the characteristics of each competition.

The Hangzhou Asian Games team in 2022 plans to consult with the Korean Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) to organize professional players as the main focus and to actively consider the participation of amateur players. The Asian Games preliminary roster will be announced after the end of this season, and the best players will be selected for the final roster in consideration of their skills and fitness by inducing competition among the players selected on the preliminary roster.
