정영순 한국자유총연맹 전국여성회장 [스포츠디비=윤아름 기자] 아프가니스탄 사태와 관련해 한국자유총연맹 정영순 전국여성회장은 “탈레반 정권의 여성 인권 말살을 강력히 규탄한다”고 성명서를 발표했다.8월 미군이 아프가니스탄에서 철수하면서 탈레반 무장세력이 정권을 장악하고 말았다. 이슬람 극우세력인 탈레반은 여성을 남성의 소유물로 취급하는 집단이다. 한국자유총연맹은 아프가니스탄의 여성들은 외출은 물론이고 미용실도 자유롭게 갈 수 없는 죄인처럼 사회활동이 불가능하고, 여성의 인권은 송두리째 짓밟히고 있다고 밝혔다.

특히 아프가니스탄에서 교육받은 여성들은 탈레반 정권에게 낙인찍힐 것이 두려워 신분증과 대학 졸업장을 숨겨야 하는 상황에 이르렀다. 심지어 여성은 단독으로 외출이 불가능하고, 외출 시에는 반드시 남성과 함께 동행해야 한다.

이에 한국자유총연맹 정영순 전국여성회장은 “전 세계인은 한 가족이며, 페이스북과 트위터 등 SNS를 통해 인류는 하나로 연결돼 있다”며 “아프가니스탄 사태는 국제사회에서 우리 모두의 과제이며, 여성의 인권이 유린당하는 아프가니스탄 사태에 대해 우리 모두가 관심을 갖고, 각자의 자리에서 아프가니스탄 여성의 인권을 보호할 수 있도록 외쳐야 한다”고 말했다.

또한 “국가는 인간의 자유를 보호하기 위해 존재하나 전체주의를 추구하는 탈레반 정권은 겉으로는 여성 인권을 보호한다면서 실제로는 이슬람 근본주의와 종교적 규율을 헌법보다 중요시하며 여성의 인권을 짓밟고 있다”며 “UN인권이사회 등 국제사회가 아프가니스탄 여성의 인권 보호를 위해 앞장서야 한다”고 강조했다.

정영순 한국자유총연맹 전국여성회장은 “현재 UN과 국제사회는 탈레반 정권의 여성 인권 말살을 경고하고 있고, 한국자유총연맹도 UN에 가입한 NGO 단체로서 아프가니스탄 여성 인권 보호 운동을 전개하겠다”고 약속했다.

これ韓国自由総連盟ジョンヨウンスン全国の女性会長は、「全世界の人々は、家族であり、FacebookやTwitterなどのSNSを通じて、人類は一つの接続されている」とし「アフガニスタン事態は国際社会で私たちのすべての課題であり、女性の人権が蹂躙されるアフガニスタンの事態に対して、私たちはすべての関心を持って、それぞれの桁で、アフガニスタンの女性の人権を保護することができるよう叫ばなければならない」と述べた。

また、「国は、人間の自由を保護するために存在するが、全体主義を追求するタリバン政権は表面上は女性の人権を保護すると言いながら、実際には、イスラム原理主義と宗教的規律を憲法より重視し、女性の人権を踏みにじっている」とし「UN人権理事会など国際社会がアフガニスタンの女性の人権保護のために率先する」と強調した。

ジョンヨウンスン韓国自由総連盟、全国の女性会長は「現在のUNと国際社会は、タリバン政権の女性の人権抹殺を警告しており、韓国の自由総連盟もUNに加入したNGO団体として、アフガニスタンの女性の人権保護運動を展開する」と約束した。

"We must all pay attention to the abuses in Afghanistan and cry out to protect the human rights of Afghan women in our respective places," he said.

"The state exists to protect human freedom, but the Taliban regime, which pursues totalitarianism, seems to protect women's human rights, but in reality, it places more importance on Islamic fundamentalism and religious discipline than the constitution, and tramples on women's human rights," he said. The international community, including the Human Rights Council, must take the lead in protecting the human rights of Afghan women.”

Chung Young-soon, president of the Korea Federation for Freedom for Women, said, "The UN and the international community are now warning the Taliban regime's destruction of women's human rights, and the Korea Freedom Federation, as an NGO affiliated with the UN, will develop a movement to protect women's human rights in Afghanistan."
